of artists Howard Schroeder (b.1911 - d.1995) and Jack Lewis (b.1914).
Each was devoted to making a full-time living in the arts, despite
the odds and their rural locations. For more than half a century these
full-time artists recorded the changing life of southern Delaware,
ultimately earning the respect of national audiences. |

L. Loper: Prophet of Color

distinctive philosophy of art. Told entirely in the artist's own words,
this program paints an intimate portrait of a young African-American
man from urban Wilmington, Delaware who began drawing and painting
on his own in the mid 1930's. Now, some sixty years later, Loper's
uncommon talent is recognized at the national level. |

to capture the structural harmony that pervades all forms of life.
Such is the vision that governs the work of Charles Parks, a Delaware
artist who has created more than 500 figurative sculptures during
the last half century. Parks shares his intimate thoughts about his
work and the messages his work conveys to the public. TELEDUCTION
